“To realize the Divine within, one must walk the path of devotion, clean the mirror of the heart, and dissolve the ego in the nectar of Satsang.”
Shri Paramhans Dayal Ji (Paramhans Advaitanand Ji Maharaj, 1846–1919) was a towering spiritual light and the first spiritual master of Advait Mat. Deeply revered for his profound spiritual realization and humble demeanor, his teachings focused on inner self-realization, meditation on the Divine Name (Naam), and the path of selfless service (Seva).
His grace inspired millions and led to the establishment numerous spiritual centers globally, including Dayal Dham. His presence continues to guide seekers on the path of inner transformation and devotion.
Born on Rama Navami in Nakur, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. From early childhood, he showed deep inclination towards spirituality and scriptural wisdom.
Initiated into sannyas and spent decades in rigorous spiritual practices (tapasya) in Jaipur and the forests of Bihar, attaining supreme realization.
Began sharing his spiritual treasures openly, setting the foundation of the Advait Mat mission, emphasizing Satsang, Seva, and Naam Simran.
Left his physical body in a state of supreme peace, passing the lineage to his chief disciple, Shri Swami Swarupanand Ji Maharaj.
Dayal Dham is a spiritual oasis dedicated to practicing and living the teachings of Shri Paramhans Dayal Ji. It is a space where seekers gather to cultivate devotion, inner silence, and universal brotherhood.
Enlightening discourses and devotional singing (Bhajans) that elevate the mind, remind us of our true nature, and fill the heart with spiritual joy.
Practical spirituality through selfless service. Devotees participate in community kitchen (Langar), environmental care, and helping those in need.
Silent spaces dedicated to chanting (Naam Simran) and meditation. Devotees practice silencing the thoughts to align with the inner sound current.
Structured silence and meditation camps, scriptural studies, and intensive sadhana programs designed to deepen one's inner spiritual path.
Devotion (Bhakti) is the easiest and most natural path to reach the Divine. Through Satsang (association with Truth and the holy congregation), we remind ourselves of our higher purpose and wash away worldly attachments from our minds. Listening to sacred discourses stabilizes the mind in faith.
Selfless Service (Seva) purifies the heart and helps dismantle the ego. Operating with the attitude that "every service is done for the master in all beings" allows one to experience unity. At Dayal Dham, devotees volunteer in cooking, cleaning, gardening, and assisting fellow pilgrims as an offering.
Mindful chanting of the Divine Name (Naam-Simran) is the cornerstone of Advait Mat practice. Chanting centers the wandering thoughts, creates positive mental vibrations, and invokes the constant remembrance of the Guru's presence within.
Taking moments of silence (Mauna) allows the external noise to fade, making room for internal connection. Devotees are encouraged to sit in quiet meditation twice a day, visualizing the form of the Master or focusing on the breath to reach the stillness of the Self.
Festivals like Guru Purnima, Vyasa Puja, and Krishna Janmashtami are observed with collective chants, special worship, and spiritual discourses. These celebrations serve as milestones to renew our vows and deep gratitude to the spiritual lineage.
“The supreme duty of a human life is to search for spiritual truth. The world is a transient play; the inner self is the only eternal reality.”
